Plastic fantastic: Mannequins take over Bristol in city-wide fashion challenge
Shop mannequins will be appearing around Bristol as part of a city-wide style competition from
11 – 18 July 2011.

Local residents will be invited to take a photo of themselves with the mannequins and upload them online to receive prizes.
The competition is being held to celebrate the launch of MyStreetChic.com, a new Bristol based fashion website that covers all things stylish in the city.
Ten mannequins will be placed in various locations around the city and residents will have one week to find them and upload their photos to MyStreetChic.com. Daily clues will be provided via MyStreetChic.com, as well as on Facebook and Twitter to help track them down.
The mannequins will be in place from 11 – 18 July and users will have until 25 July to upload their photos to MyStreetChic.com/mannequins for a chance to win the prizes.
“We were fed up of seeing stick thin models in the fashion press and wanted to give real people the opportunity to show off their sense of style,” explained MyStreetChic.com Editor, Gina Dyer.
“By uploading your photos to MyStreetChic.com, you’ll get the chance to create a more accurate picture of what stylish means for real women in Bristol, and maybe even influence the city’s trends –as well as winning some fabulous prizes”.
